Principle:
Neodymium laser (ND YAG) emits light of a specific wavelength in pulses with high peak energy, therefore the light penetrates the tissue only for a short nanosecond. The light is absorbed by the pigment tissue and leads to an instantaneous explosion, i.e. the principle of the light jet. The pigment particles are disassembled into fragments, some of them will bounce off the skin, and other parts will be broken down into tiny particles that can be ingested by phagocytes and then metabolized by the lymphatic system.
